Finished a book I first read eleven years ago and found almost nothing I remembered. The margins were full of my own handwriting arguing with passages I would now agree with entirely. Unclear whether the book improved or I simply got tired.
The second reading is a different book, because the reader is a different person.
Spent the weekend comparing an old school pen against two newer ones. The old one wins on nothing measurable and still writes better. I suspect the hand adapts to the tool over years and then refuses to adapt again.
Back to paper after two years of trying every application that promised to replace it. The box does not sync, does not update and does not ask anything of me.
